A.J Calloway has been suspended from his hosting gig at Extra due to more sexual assault allegations against him, according to The Hollywood Reporter . Back in January, two women came forward and accused him of sexual assault after writer and activist Sil Lai Abrams opened up about Calloway assaulting her in an expose in THR.

While suspended, Calloway will be under investigation by the Warner Bros network.

“Upon becoming aware of allegations of sexual misconduct against AJ Calloway, we began an internal review to determine whether there had been any misconduct by Mr. Calloway on Extra and whether any employee of the show had been the victim of any such misconduct,” Warner Bros. Television said in a statement. “To date, we have found nothing to suggest that Mr. Calloway has ever engaged in workplace misconduct.  In light of additional allegations brought to our attention, we are expanding our ongoing inquiries, and Mr. Calloway has been suspended pending further review. We take such allegations very seriously and are committed to doing everything we can to ensure a safe and inclusive workplace for all of our employees.”

His attorney, Lisa E. Davis, told THR that the latest accusations by the two anonymous women are also false.

“Mr. Calloway maintains that these unsubstantiated allegations are patently false. He vehemently denies that he ever assaulted anyone and looks forward to clearing his name.”

The former 106 Park host has denied Abrams’ allegations against him, deeming them “meritless.”

“I was disappointed to read the false allegations about me in The Hollywood Reporter,” he told ESSENCE. “As I have maintained from the beginning, these allegations are not true. When I was first notified about these allegations by law enforcement more than a decade ago, I fully cooperated from the beginning and the case was dismissed.”

Abrams alleged that Calloway assaulted her in 2006. He was arrested but he was released and the case was dismissed.

Calloway has been a staple on Extra since 2005, interviewing a host of celebs on various red carpets and celebrity-studded events.
