A lot of us aren’t finding comfort in much of anything except internet memes now that Donald Trump has officially been sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. And while there are sure to be more things to poke fun at over the next 1,460 days, there will no doubt be many more attacks on our civil liberties, reproductive rights, and the basic premise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness promised to us in our nation’s Declaration of Independence. As such, we’re going to have to constantly remind ourselves to keep hope alive, like Barack Obama would want us to, and to keep fighting for said civil liberties.
