After dropping her debut solo album, Souled Out, which was met with critical acclaim and praise, alt RB chanteuse Jhené Aiko has returned.
Without warning, the 29-year-old released her sophmore album, Trip, on Friday (Sept. 22). And as expected, fans clamored to streaming sites to listen with open ears. Featuring a whopping 22 tracks, there’s a ton of great guest features to sift through, including Big Sean, Kurupt, Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, and Brandy.
In an interview with Billboard, Jhené shared that her duet she did with Brandy was a dream come true. “She has the perfect voice,” she said of the ’90s artist she grew up idolizing. adding that Never Say Never is among her favorite albums.

Prior to dropping the album, Jhené also offered up an accompanying short film for fans. Inspired by “every type of trip you could imagine,” the singer shared that it was an autobiographical depiction of her grief following the 2012 death of her brother Miyagi.
