When Pitch Perfect came out in 2012, not a lot was expected of it. It became a surprise hit though, and spawned a sequel in 2015. The second film was an even bigger hit than the first, partly because the film’s audience had grown after the first one came out on home video. Ever since then fans have been patiently waiting for a second sequel, and after a few delays, we finally have what they are calling a trailer tease.
The footage takes us behind the scenes of the shoot, including some shots of the wrap-up party. It really does help build up excitement for the film which hits theatres on December 22nd. The plot of Pitch Perfect 3 is still very much guarded, but according to the director Trish Sie in the video they are taking us “on a global tour with the Bellas.” In the video you also get to see shots of Anna Kendrick and her costars jumping into water, DJ Khaled’s excitement for jointing the cast, and the Bellas dressed in camo. And of course you also get to see fan favourite Rebel Wilson and her new co-star John Lithgow, who apparently really hit it off. You also get to catch glimpses of returning Bellas Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Ester Dean, Chrissie Fit, Hana Mae Lee, and Hailee Steinfeld.
We’re hoping Pitch Perfect 3 is as much fun as the first two films, and with it coming out just before the holidays, we think it’s the perfect gift.
