Cindy Crawford Recreates Pepsi Super Bowl Ad 26 Years Later
If you think back to the 1992 Super Bowl you might have a hard time remembering much about it as it wasn’t a very noteworthy game. What you will probably remember though is an ad for Pepsi, starring Cindy Crawford. The ad featured Cindy Crawford driving up to an isolated gas station in her Lamborghini where she stops to buy a can of Pepsi from a vending machine. She was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans, and made all the men sweat. The commercial became an instant classic, and was the most talked about commercial of the year. Now Pepsi has decided to recreate the ad for this year’s Super Bowl.
Not much is known about the recreated ad, other than it also features Crawford’s 18 year old model son, Presley Walker Gerber. The released photo above shows the 51-year-old enjoying yet another can of Pepsi. The ad will also apparently have footage of another memorable Pepsi commercial featuring Michael Jackson. It’s set to debut at Super Bowl 52 on February 4th.
Pepsi’s Super Bowl ad is using the catch phrase “This Is The Pepsi,” and is part of their year long celebration honouring their 120-year history.
Crawford’s son isn’t the only one who followed her into the modeling business. Her 16-year-old daughter has been making headlines since last year’s New York Fashion Week. You can read about Kaia Gerber in the lastest issue of Real Style.
