Los Angeles County’s Department of Children and Family Services is launching an investigation into actor Pooch Hall, after he was arrested for drunk driving while he allegedly let his two-year-old son steer the wheel, according to TMZ.

DCFS will reportedly interview the Hall family to see if Pooch’s drinking is a regular occurrence or a one time issue a standard procedure in situations like this, the outlet reports. If it is found to be an isolated incident, the department will likely let the courts handle punishment, according to a source who spoke with TMZ.

Hall was arrested on Wednesday with a DUI and felony child endangerment after witnesses saw him driving with his son on his lap in a Burbank neighborhood, prompting a 911 call. Hall’s car allegedly hit a park car, but thankfully no one was physically harmed during the accident. An unsecured car seat for the toddler was found in the car and witnesses say they saw the young child crying while the car was moving.

Police found Hall had a .25 blood alcohol level, way over the allotted 0.08 percent according to state law. Authorities at the scene returned the young child to the care of his mother, Linda Hall. The couple share four children together.

Hall is currently a series regular on the Showtime hit Ray Donovan, where he plays Darryl Donovan, the half-brother of the Liev Schreiber’s title character. He’s appeared in several roles for film and TV including Jumping The Broom and Chuck. His portrayal of Derwin Davis on the CW/BET series The Game, alongside Tia Mowry-Hardict, propelled him to fame.
