Brace yourselves for a boatload of it hurts so cuteness, guys: Ellen Pompeo just officially introduced her new son to the world by sharing the first photo of her baby boy on Instagram. The Grey’s Anatomy recently star shocked us all when she and her husband Chris Ivery were spotted hiking while carrying a newborn baby. Shortly afterwards, her rep confirmed that the couple were indeed the parents of a new baby, but we weren’t privy to any additional details until now.
After hearing the wonderful news, we vowed to stalk, er, closely monitor Pompeo’s Instagram, hoping to catch a glimpse of her shiny little new one, but we actually got more than we bargained for: a look at his sweet face, plus she revealed his name.
“❤️Eli Christopher❤️ Chris Ivery just fell a notch.. I’ve got a new guy,” Pompeo captioned the shot of Ivery, looking like a proud papa while lovingly cradling their brand new bundle.

Ah, we’re absolutely lovin’ that name! Obviously little Eli is an irresistible cuddle magnet and we are beyond ecstatic for Pompeo and Ivery, who are already parents to two gorgeous little girls, 2-year-old Sienna May and 7-year-old Stella Luna. We can totally see Eli’s two big sisters gushing over him and eagerly showering him with hugs and kisses because he is just too darn cute.
Lil’ Eli Christopher may not have the most popular baby boy name of 2016 but his adorably happy sleeping face sure is one of the cutest.
