Embrace 2017’s Blue Mascara Trend The Right Way

While blue mascara was once a dreaded beauty trend which was avoided by many, this makeup fad has since re-emerged as a must-try look. With late 1980s and early 1990s fashions currently reigning supreme, blue mascara also channels the era which has been displayed on the season’s runways.

As most of us know, there’s certainly an incorrect way to rock blue-tinged eyelashes- usually accompanied by contoured blush and fierce red lips. For a more contemporary and minimalist take on blue mascara, try sticking to bronzed, glowing skin and indigo eyeliner. Meanwhile, tiny glitter accents and blue cat eyes can also emphasize your striking mascara, for a slightly over-the-top effect.

If you prefer artistic eyes and exaggerated colour, shade in your eyelids with a blend of turquoise, yellow and mauve shadows. To complement your vibrant smokey eye, skip the eyeliner and emphasize your top lashes with a simple coat of black mascara. Next, accent your lower lashes with light blue mascara, for an arresting contrast which can catch the light.
However you decide to wear this mascara trend, it’s clear that blue is officially cool, and can easily perk up your no makeup look with a bit of fun.
