Fairytale Bridal Looks From The Spring Runways
Whether you’re ringing in your nuptials with a quaint countryside ceremony or a lavish banquet hall celebration, there’s no denying that wedding season is in the air. For brides who are eagerly awaiting a Summer 2017 wedding day, it’s officially time to pick out the dress of your dreams. If you’re a fashionista who gathers all her other sartorial cues from the runways, you may as well channel the catwalks on your special day. Without further ado, we’ve compiled a few stunning designer bridal looks for the season ahead.
Reem Acra
For the ladylike bride who wants to capture an image of romance and old school glamour, this design from Reem Acra may offer inspiration. The figure-hugging gown is accented with sheer three-quarter sleeves, delicate lace and an off-the-shoulder neckline. Meanwhile, the flowing hem and illusion neckline create a princess-like style which is both classic and chic.
Zuhair Murad
At Zuhair Murad, the design aesthetic was noticeably extravagant, with signature voluminous skirts and plenty of intricate embellishment. This particular strapless ivory gown features a full ballgown skirt and cinched-in waistline. However, it’s the sparkling detail and elaborately embellished bodice which elevate a classic wedding dress to new, glamour girl heights.
Marchesa
If you’re a contemporary fashionista who wants to make a statement with an unusual choice, a look inspired by this creation could be your answer. The plunging V-neckline, floaty and slightly diaphanous skirt and ethereal floral accents are certainly a more fashion-forward take on the traditional bridal gown. With lightweight fabric and a defined ribbon-like belt, this sheer Marchesa number is a welcome break from the over-the-top princess dress.
