Fifth Harmony Down To Four As Camila Cabello Quits The Group

Will girl band Fifth Harmony have to change their name? The group announced early Monday morning that Camilla Cabello has abruptly quit the group, leaving them with four members.

The news that Cabello quit the group isn’t all that shocking, considering she is on the verge of a solo career. The 19 year old musician released a a music video a few weeks ago for her latest solo track Bad Things, featuring Machine Gun Kelly. Back in September she’d also left a concert in St. Louis Missouri in the middle of a set due to what she called anxiety. Some fans thing however it was due to all the work she’d been putting into launching a solo career, while maintaining her place in the band as well.

The announcement came only a few hours after the group played the final Jingle Ball show of the year in Miami, which also happens to be Cabello’s home town. The remaining members of the group, Normani Kordei, Lauren Juaregui, Dinah Jane and Ally Brooke, have vowed not to let the new stop them however. They posted the news on Instagram stating that they will continue as a foursome. “We are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us,” the announcement said. “We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors.”

There didn’t seem to be any hard feelings towards Cabello either, as the group wished her well in their post.
