Former Real Style Cover Girl Susan Sarandon Joins Ray Donovan For Season 5

For those wondering what Susan Sarandon’s next project would be after her critically acclaimed turn as Bette Davis on the 8-episode FX series Feud comes to an end next month, you don’t have to wait any longer. It was announced yesterday that the Oscar-winning actress has joined the Showtime series Ray Donovan in a season-long recurring role.

Ray Donovan is the story of an L.A. based professional fixer, who can make anyone’s problems disappear. Liev Schreiber stars in the the title role of the hit series, which is currently filming its fifth season. Susan Sarandon will play Samantha Winslow, a head of a major motion picture studio. The role is said to run throughout the season, and will probably be the focus of the main story line. Ray Donovan plays on Showtime, and is set to return this summer.

Sarandon was the Real Style cover girl last Spring (see the issue here), and won her best actress Oscar for the 1995 film Dead Man Walking. The 70-year-old actress has also been nominated for four other Oscars, as well as eight Golden Globes, and four Emmys.
