The couple bought their first child together into the world through a surrogate and was able to keep their experience discreet until they revealed that Kaavia arrived earlier this month. It hasn’t been confirmed that they will be talking about their road to having their child but Wade alluded to it in his IG post.
“We wanna thank @oprah for coming into our home to discuss our new bundle of joy!,” he wrote.
They recently let the world see their baby girl’s face and gave the meaning of her name.
“We wanted to include my family in her name so the “James” is from my uncle James Francis Glass who is also my godfather. Union is her middle name. I’ve waited this long so fo sho I was gonna get in there,” she said on IG.
Kaavia means “work of art” in the Sanskrit language.
Oprah at Home with Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade Their New Baby will air on December 8th on OWN at 8pm EST.
“So no money down you say? I’m listening…” ?☺?☺?? Today’s #WCW?? is @kaaviajames This little dynamo reminds me to never give up on my dreams. Never give up hope and never think you are alone. Many people are suffering in silence in plain sight. They are screaming and nothing is coming out. Let us all remember to keep our eyes, minds and hearts open to one another and for ourselves as well. To anyone suffering and losing hope, let us all lift you up in the light of goodness and hold you there. You are loved, heard and seen.
