Hottest New September 2016 Novels For The Bookworm
While you may be heading back to the boardroom this fall instead of the classroom, September always offers an opportunity to capture your love of lifelong learning. If you’re an avid reader who can’t wait to scoop up the latest read, the upcoming month will see a number of hot new novels hitting the shelves. We’ve curated four titles which will surely tear you away from the smartphone screen and inspire you to delve into a new book instead.
1) Possession (The Steel Brothers Saga) by Helen Hardt, Waterhouse Press: The latest book in the Steel Brothers saga continues to explore the story of protagonist Jade Roberts, who has found comfort in the arms of heartthrob Talon Steel. While beautiful and classy Jade first met Talon after being left heartbroken and alone at the altar, she has now fallen in love with him. This time, Talon professes a longtime secret to Jade, which leads to an unsafe and uncertain future for the two unlikely lovers.
2) Leave Me: A Novel by Gayle Forman, Algonquin Books: As a busy mother of twins, leading lady Maribeth Klein suddenly suffers a heart attack after dealing with her stressful lifestyle. When Maribeth decides to escape her existence and run away from reality, she meets a group of new friends and comes to terms with herself. Leave Me is a story of the challenges of motherhood, womanhood and family responsibilities.
3) The Bookshop on the Corner: A Novel by Jenny Colgan, William Morrow Paperbacks: As a talented librarian, main character Nina Redmond is known for her talent of sourcing the perfect book for every person. After she loses the job she loves, Nina relocates to a small village, begins a bookmobile and begins to wonder if this new life is her very own happy ending.
4) Healing Maddie Brees by Rebecca Brewster Stevenson, Light Messages Publishing: Titular character Maddie Brees is facing cancer, and turns to her former boyfriend Vincent Elander for assistance. Although she is now a busy wife and mother of three, she knows that Vincent possesses mysterious healing abilities. Once her old flame resurfaces, so does her past- which makes Maddie question her current life.
