Iggy Azalea and Lorde Among First Performers Announced For The 2017 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards
This year’s iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards was sure to be a blast, even before the first performers were announced. The event that will air live on June 18th on Much, CTV and VRAK, as well as stream on the iHeartRadio app, made a splash this morning however by showing the world that the show is indeed getting bigger every year.
Rapper Iggy Azalea, rocker Imagine Dragons, singer-songwriter Julia Michaels, Juno Award-winning rapper Jazz Cartier and Lorde, will be joined by former MMVA host Joe Jonas and his pop-rock group DNCE. The annual street party has yet to announce a host for the upcoming show, but with previous hosts such as Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, as well as Ed Sheeran, we’re sure it’s going to be someone big.
Vice-President of Bell Media Studios Nanci MacLean released a statement that said “With our enduring commitment to bringing the best in music to Canadians, this first announcement proves that there’s no shortage of star power for fans this year. From pop to rock to hip-hop, the 2017 MMVAs has something for everyone, as the iconic corner of Queen and John in Toronto once again hosts another epic and unforgettable night.”
We’re already looking forward to the event, but we’re sure that the additional talent announcements that will be coming soon will make us even more excited.
