“I’m Crawling Back To Walking In My Purpose” Keri Hilson Staging Comeback After Hitting “Rock Bottom”

Keri Hilson was once one of the hottest chicks in the music game, having written some of the biggest pop and RB singers’ songs before writing her own hits and stepping out in front of the mic. And then the fame and fan fare came crashing down as the singer was assumed to be blackballed by the industry due to some seemingly shady moves against fellow artists like Ciara and Beyoncé. (If you’re interested, the video below gives an exceptionally detailed exposé of her career rise and subsequent fall.)
Nevertheless, a few movie roles later and seven years after releasing her second album No Boys Allowed, the 35-year-old is ready to make a comeback. Keri made this revelation during a session with psychic medium Reginald Lewis as part of an appearance on the Steve Harvey Show.
The conversation began with Reginald channeling Keri’s paternal grandmother who shed light on the fact that her granddaughter has been cutting people out of her life. We recently reported that Keri called it quits with her former boyfriend Ricardo Lockette and she confirmed as much on the show saying “That’s one of the things that I’m walking away from” when Reginald pointed out she’s been taken advantage of.
Sensing that in the next year new people would be coming into her life and wanting her to share her gifts, Keri acknowledged Reginald’s correct reading, saying, “It is kind of a comeback because I hit rock bottom a few times.”
Through tears she went on to say, “I’m crawling back to walking in my purpose…my power and using my gifts.” I think I had to give up music for a while. I stepped away. I thought it would just be a year, it’s been six maybe. I realize now I’m grateful for all of those years because I have built myself back up.”
Are you ready to see Keri make a comeback?
