Inside the issue, Hudson keeps it real about all sorts of things, from her former co-star Beyoncé to her Oscar win and being a big fan of HBO’s Insecure.

When asked what ran through her head the night she won the Academy Award for Dreamgirls, the 36-year-old revealed that she thought she’d misheard her name being called and thought it was too good to be true: “Sit down, Jennifer, no one heard that but you.”

The Voice coach also shared that if she had to choose from one of her fellow coaches (Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus)  someone to coach her as an artist, it’s not who you think. The star said she would choose country star Blake. Why?

“Blake, because we have the most similar taste in music.”

She also spilled that she’d love to guest star on Insecure with Issa Rae (which would be very interesting), the first word she would use to describe Beyoncé is “sisterly” and that out of all the epic actors and actresses in Hollywood, her dream co-star for a project is fellow Oscar winner and Jennifer, Jennifer Lawrence. Didn’t see that coming!
