Moving on. Lala Kent is leaving Vanderpump Rules in the middle of the show’s current, fifth season after weeks of drama about her alleged relationship with a married man.
The Bravo star, 26, confirmed her departure from Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant SUR and the show (a spinoff of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) in an interview with TooFab on Monday, December 12. “I’m excited for people to watch me exit, because it’s just going to show a new side of my life and I think it will get to show people who I really am,” she told the website. “I watch the show sometimes and I’m like, ‘That’s not me.’ I want people to see who I actually hang out with, my day-to-day life. And I never got to show that. I’m excited for people to watch me leave Vanderpump Rules, to be quite honest.”
Kent was cut from the show’s intro and replaced as a regular by Stassi Schroeder, even though Schroeder no longer works at SUR. “I made it halfway through the season and just decided that I want no part of the people anymore,” Kent continued. “I feel like they don’t deserve to be in my world in any shape or form. So I dismissed myself.”
A spokesperson for Bravo had no comment to TooFab about Kent’s exit.
The blonde beauty first joined the cast in season 4 as a friend and has clashed with most of the cast members except for James Kennedy. This season, she has been plagued by rumors that she’s dating a married man and that he gave her a new Range Rover. Her costars, including Katie Maloney, Kristen Doute, Scheana Shay and Schroeder, who had never met Kent’s mysterious boyfriend or been told his name, were suspicious of how she could afford the luxury car on a hostess’ paycheck. However, Kent has continuously denied the affair.
