Michael Che Is Using His Comedic Platform To Fundraise For Planned Parenthood

In the week that Donald Trump has been sworn in, he’s made many executive orders that have many Americans tossing side eyes left and right and even heart palpitations to be quite honest.
The ban on federal funding for international groups that perform abortions is one in particular that has put a bad taste in the mouths of many. During his campaign, Trump was very transparent about the fact that he would defund Planned Parenthood, which provides reproductive services to women across the country. While millions of women (and men) took to the streets to protest in the Women’s March, Saturday Night Live comic Michael Che has decided to fight the good fight and support Planned Parenthood.

On Thursday (Jan. 26), Che took to Instagram to announce that he would be hosting a show in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood at the Knitting Factory, and penny and dime collected would go to Planned Parenthood. Not to mention, the comedian revealed that he will be matching whatever money is made that night.

Unfortunately, the show sold out immediately, but Che did share that he will have another show with the same premise in a few weeks or the next month.
