Microneedling Is The Latest Skincare Trend Of 2017

Although most of us may find the idea of a needle near our precious visage to be absolutely terrifying, there’s a new skincare trend which just might make this socially acceptable. Appropriately titled “microneedling”, the latest innovation in skincare involves a series of tiny needles, which are meant to pierce the skin. According to Allure, microneedling only penetrates the skin’s first layer, and is meant to encourage a gorgeous, flawless complexion.
The dermatological treatment is designed to target skin blemishes and imperfections, such as visible signs of aging or scars. For anyone who is willing to go the extra mile for an enviable complexion, microneedling just may be a skincare solution. It can be performed by an expert (such as a dermatologist or medical aestheticians), but it is also possible to test out the new treatment at home.
Naturally, at-home microneedling is not quite as extreme nor as detailed as the professional version of the treatment. For adventurous skincare lovers who want to take a plunge (without leaving their humble abode), microneedling roller devices come loaded with tiny needles. These portable rollers can then be used, along with a skin serum, right on the surface of the visage.
As the treatment is a relatively new development in the beauty world, it may be best to consult with an expert first to learn if this is a suitable choice for you. However, if you happen to have a phobia of needles, this is probably a skincare trend to avoid for now!
