You may have missed your summer body goals as the summer is slowly coming to an end. However, there are many tempting chocolaty delights to satisfy your sugar cravings. While Belgian and Swiss chocolates may be world renowned, you won’t have to venture out of the city limits to find your fix. If you have a sweet tooth (just like the Real Style team), we’ve curated a list of chocolatiers to visit in the 6ix.
1) Soma Chocolate: With a small chocolate factory and two Toronto stores located in the Distillery District and King West, Soma just may be a chocolate lover’s paradise. The chocolate shop started off roasting their cacao beans, and now also spins gelato, bakes cookies and creates truffles. Whether you want to buy a gift for a friend or just want to reward yourself with a delicious chocolate truffle after a long day of work, Soma just may have it all.
2) MoRoCo Chocolat: At this sweet Toronto destination, chocoholics can enjoy the hand crafted, French inspired chocolates and confections that are offered. With over 25 chocolates creations made fresh daily such as truffles, bars, solid chocolate and macarons, this local luxury chocolate retailer just may have the perfect treat to suit your tastes.
3) Cacao 70: With both a brunch and sweets menu, Cacao 70 has tons to choose from for all you chocolate lovers. From crepes, to chocolate fondue, to chocolate Nutella pizzas, this shop can fill anyone’s chocolate needs. With two different locations downtown Toronto, Cacao 70 has recently expanded to the city after earning a fan following in its hometown Montreal.
4) The Chocolateria: As part of their slogans, for all things chocolate, The Chocolateria claims to be your one stop solution. They are known for dipping almost anything in chocolate like their famous chips, pretzels, nuts and candied orange peel. For the absolute chocolate lover, try taking part in their chocolate classes to learn how to make delicious desserts like truffles.
