Orange Lipstick Returns As A Sunny Makeup Choice For Spring

While many of us have been rocking bright red lipstick all winter long, the arrival of Spring 2017 means that warmer, sunny beauty looks are around the corner. Whether you plan to escape on a tropical getaway or simply strut the streets of your hometown, there’s nothing quite like a hint of tangerine brightness to rejuvenate your visage.

On the runways, orange lips enjoyed their 15 minutes of fame at Jason Wu. The punchy, pigmented colour instantly illuminated the visage, and was contrasted against glowing, radiant skin. Meanwhile, natural-looking brows and barely there eye makeup completed the overall makeup look.

Coral tones also created a sensation at Versus Versace, where a deep pink-orange lip colour made waves on the catwalk. Paired with matte foundation, coral lipstick kept the makeup look vibrant and beachy for the warmer temperatures of Spring 2017.
If you’re looking forward to rocking the trend, contour your cheeks with light rosy blush and a subtle application of mascara. The trick to embracing orange lipstick is sticking to a glowing face and minimal eye makeup. Whether you have an olive to tan complexion or fair skin, it’s clear that an orange-tinted pout is the way to go this season.
