Original Cast of Degrassi High To Reunite At Toronto ComiCon 2017
Fans of the hit Canadian TV Series Degrassi High are in for a treat, for the first time in 20 years the original cast is set to reunite.
Degrassi High was a popular Canadian TV series that ran from 1987-1991. It followed the stories of students at a high-school in Toronto, and gained a massive cult following in North America, including director Kevin Smith. Since then it has spawned several spin-offs, including Degrassi: The Next Generation that helped launch the career of Toronto based rapper Drake. Since the series went off the air however the cast of the original series haven’t gotten together very often, and not in 20 years. During this year’s Toronto ComiCon however, set to run from March 17-19 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, all of that is about to change.
Scheduled to appear at the event is Pat Mastroianni (Joey Jeremiah), Stacie Mistysyn (Caitlin Ryan), Stefan Brogren (Snake “Archie” Simpson), Kirsten Bourne Kelly (Tessa Campanelli) and Dan Woods (Mr. Raditch). They will appear on stage, and their fans will get an opportunity to meet them.
“Degrassi has had a monumental impact on pop culture in Canada and there is no better way to celebrate this formative show than to reunite fans with some of their favourite, original cast members at this year’s event,” said Toronto ComiCon Show Director, Andrew Moyes in a released statement.
The three day event will also feature wrestlers Bret Hart and Mick Foley, Star Trek: Voyager star Robert Picardo, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace star Ray Park as well as Laurie Holden who starred for 3 seasons as Andrea in The Walking Dead.
