“Insecure” is back in session. Co-creator and star Issa Rae took to Instagram to share an image of our four favorite millennial besties on set for season 4 of the hit show.
Issa posed with Amanda Seales (Tiffany), Yvonne Orji (Molly), and Natasha Rothwell (Kelli) in a #BlackGirlMagic powered photo posted on Instagram. Issa included aa slightly shady jab at her friends, who have been begging the media mogul to expand the show’s 30 minute format to a full hour–because, well, we need more!
“yOu BeTtEr MaKe It A hOuR” ? Day One. Season Four,” Issa teased.
Yvonne Orji chimed in in the comments saying, “We literally look like, “say somethin’ else!”

Issa first spilled the tea that the show would start filming in the fall during a TCA panel earlier this year. She told the audience that the writing room was on the job and would begin “shooting in September.”
There will be ten episodes this season, which is a victory for fans. The previous three seasons have been 8 episodes each.
“Insecure” was previously nominated for two Primetime Emmy. The series has also been nominated for a Golden Globe.
So what can we expect in season 4?
Executive producer Prentice Penny told fans in a final post-show episode that Molly and Issa’s relationship will evolve for better or for worse with their new romantic lives.
“Typically we’ve always had their relationships as ‘Issa’s dating this guy’ and ‘Molly’s dating this guy.’ And never the twain shall sort of meet… what’s interesting now is what will this friendship be like [in a new situation]?” he said.
