Pass Or Play? Sade’s First Song In Seven Years “Flower Of The Universe”
Thick drums and other light, sporadically placed fluttering elements, Sade’s signature voice is really given the platform to shine.
With lyrics like, “When you smile the stars align, flower of the universe and child of mine,” the song could have easily been inspired by the love she has for her son.
The song, produced by No I.D. has a hypnotic and soothing quality to it. I’ve listened, compulsively perhaps more than necessary for this piece.
