Peter Thomas’ Daughter Clapsback At Those Who Criticized Her “Too Black” Stomach
Earlier this year, we reported that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Peter Thomas was going to be grandfather, to twins actually. His daughter Porsche married Till H. Groß in March and shortly after, he revealed that she was pregnant.
If you’ve seen Peter’s daughter, you know she’s a model and gorgeous. And she’s been adorable throughout her pregnancy. But one picture had people talking quite a bit of trash. Ignorant, colorist trash to be specific.
☀️Getting down to the wire. Only about two weeks left for me and these boys before they make their debut. Crazy excited and totally nervous. What a way to start #2017 #35weeks #twins #babybump

Instead of celebrating the post, commenters came through with all types of ugliness.
One wrote: “Her stomach looks nasty…” Another said, “No disrespect but why her stomach so black?” And then this very strong one, “B*tch yo stomach…What da f**k and dem feet nasty as f**k.”
Wow.
I guess people have never seen a pregnant woman of color. According to Baby Center, skin darkening, chloasma or melasma gravidarum is common during pregnancy, partially with darker skinned women. The changes in pigment may be a result of hormonal changes which temporarily increase the body’s production of melanin. After delivery, the pigment fades. But for some women, it doesn’t.
Thankfully, Porsche took it in stride, posting this image.
While some of y’all been in my comments criticizing the blackness that is my belly and me during what shoulda been your holiday cheer, I been over here enjoying life, growing tiny humans, performing miracles and hopefully getting even blacker #justsaying #melaninpoppin #twins #babybump #noairbrushneeded #love and be #loved
