President Obama Is A Fan Of ‘Insecure’
When it comes to Issa Rae’s new HBO original comedy series, Insecure, it’s truly the modern-day gem black women have been waiting for since the likes of Girlfriends. However, the show isn’t only reserved for the ladies.
Recently, on Friday (Dec. 16), the cast attended the White House Christmas Party, where President Barack Obama spoke “at length” with Rae and Yvonne Orji about how much he loves not only the show but its soundtrack.
After our Black President told us he watches #InsecureHBO (and loves the soundtrack).

“President Obama watches Insecure, he said he can’t quote none of it until after he’s president,” Rae said in a Twitter video from the White House.
“He said our soundtrack is lit. He said we’re doing great work, what else did he say?,” Rae asked Orji. “Everything we would’ve loved for him to say, he said it,” she confirmed.

Well, if that isn’t a way to toast to 2016 after receiving a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a TV Comedy or Musical, we don’t know what is. Congrats, Isaa (and the entire Insecure crew)!
