When Riverdale launched in 2016, fans of the series (and the Archie comic books) almost immediately started asking when Sabrina the Teenage Witch would be showing up. After all Sabrina did initially appear in Archie Comics and quickly became one of their most popular characters. Then earlier this year Netflix announced that a series was indeed on its way, named Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and starring Mad Men alum Kiernan Shipka as the titular character. Even then though, fans had no idea when the show would be premiering. That is, until now.
Netflix announced over the weekend that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will premiere on the Friday before (appropriately enough) Halloween. On October 26th fans will get to watch the entire 10-episode first season, which as the official description states “imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft.” The cast also includes Lucy Davis as Aunt Hilda, Miranda Otto as Aunt Zelda, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Tati Gabrielle as Prudence, Chance Perdomo as her cousin Ambrose, Bronson Pinchot as her school principal George Hawthorne and Michelle Gomez as her teacher Mary Wardell.
For the moments however, there are no plans to crossover Chilling Adventures of Sabrina with Riverdale, although there are rumours that it could happen in the future.
