Vaccines have become quite a controversial topic over the past few years. More and more parents are becoming concerned about the potential harm vaccines may have on their young children. A new study published in Ebiomedicine won’t do anything to calm those fears.
In the study, researchers examined mortality rates of infants between the ages of 3 and 5 months old who were given early vaccinates for DTP (Diptheria-Tetanus-Pertyssis) and OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine) who suffered a 5-fold infant mortality rate, compared to infants who were not given the vaccines.
The study measured mortality rates for DTP and OPV administered together, but a shockingly high mortality rate for children given the DTP vaccine alone was also found. Researchers concluded, “DTP was associated with increased mortality; OPV may modify the effect of DTP.”
The Dangers Of OPV
Doctors recently admitted that the Polio Vaccine program pushed onto African and Indian children by Bill Gates has created a mutant strain of polio which is now affecting children in Europe. The oral polio vaccine (OPV) contains a weakened form of the virus, which is meant to cause the body to develop antibodies to protect itself against the disease. However, immunity takes time to build, which gives the virus time to replicate in the intestinal tract.
Small infants do not have a fully developed immune system, which makes them much more vulnerable to disease and infection. The CDC has admitted that “immunodeficient children [for example, tiny infants] are at risk for complications with the polio vaccine.”
The Dangers Of DTP
DTP is administered in order to prevent whooping cough. It has been associated with inflammation in the brain, permanent brain damage and infant death since the late 1940’s. A study published in the journal Pharmacoepidemiol Drug Safety found that DPT caused sudden death to infants in Taiwan.
Giving Vaccines To Infants In Other Countries
The pro-vaccine Immunization Action Coalition says, “Vaccines are not routinely given to infants younger than 6 weeks of age in the U.S. because little safety data or efficacy exists on doses given before 6 weeks of age, and vaccines are not licensed for this use.”
However, the Gates foundation intends to vaccinate every African child, no matter how young, with DTP vaccines. According to the foundation, “We invest heavily in vaccines to prevent infectious diseases – including HIV, polio and malaria – and support the development of integrated health solutions for family planning, nutrition, and maternal and child health.”
The foundation maintains that more than 75% of sub-Saharan Africa remains unvaccinated with DTP and they plan to change that. These vaccines aren’t safe for our own children – specifically under the age of 6 weeks old – but it’s OK to give African infants double vaccines of Polio and DTP all at once?
