Alicia Keys kicked off her 37th birthday by being honored during GRAMMY Week, but had no clue about what her husband had in store.
After being honored with her husband producer Swizz Beatz at the Producers and Engineers Wing 11th Annual GRAMMY Week Event by the Recording Academy, Swizzy surprised his wife with a Wu-Tang Clan themed skating birthday party. He turned NYC hotspot Tao Downtown into a skating rink and invited celebs like Nas, LaLa Anthony and record executive Steve Stoute.

Keys told Billboard that she was completely shocked yet overjoyed with her surprise.
“I’m like, OK, they’re going to set up the Grammys, kick it off with my birthday,” she said. “My husband and I [are being] honored simultaneously in this most prestigious moment, and then we’re going to just keep going from there and it’s going to be a magnificent week. I do feel like this was made for me.”
