The scandal involving Harvey Weinstein isn’t just bringing up painful memories for the women he victimized over the past three or four decades, it’s also reminding other sexual assault victims of the abuse they’ve endured, one of whom is Terry Crews.
Today, the actor shocked Twitter when he sent out a series of tweets detailing how he was groped in front of his wife by a male exec at a function in Hollywood last year and didn’t react for fear he would be perceived as an angry Black man.

Crews went on to say he grappled with the same questions many women ask themselves after being sexually assaulted: “Who’s going 2 believe you? ( few) What r the repercussions?(many) Do u want 2 work again? (Yes) R you prepared 2b ostracized?(No).” But now, he hopes speaking out will deter further predatory behavior.
We hope other men and women who’ve been victimized will come forward as well.
