The-Dream first found his way into many of our hearts back in 2007 with his Love Hate album that reinvented RB in all the right ways for contemporary listeners. Nine years later, he’s still up on his trendsetting game.
While 2016 wasn’t a year of solo releases for the singer-songwriter, he was featured on some of the biggest releases from Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam” to Solange’s “F.U.B.U.” and racked up songwriting credits on Beyoncé’s “6 Inch” and Rihanna’s “Woo.”
Now, at the closing of the year, he’s dropped a new EP called Love You to Death. Not necessarily the album we were expecting since he’s yet to release a proper full-length effort since 2013’s IV Play, the five-song project follows his visual album Genesis, which was released via TIDAL back in January.
Nevertheless, we expect nothing but greatness to ooze out of the speakers when we press play on this new offering. But all hope isn’t lost on an actual album, as The-Dream teased via Instagram that his new album Love Affair will drop this March.
