The New Way To Rock Polka Dots This Winter
Although polka dots are a classic motif and have adorned countless garments, these tiny dots are making a return to the world of fashion. Polka dots are officially back on the season’s runways and are now bigger than ever. In all sizes and colours, the funky circular patterns are quickly adorning all types of garments. If you’re wondering how to rock the trend for the colder months of the year, here’s how to master the trend today.
Loewe
At Loewe, basic black and white made a major statement, which was certainly not for the shrinking wallflower. An all-over print adorned a collarless fitted jacket and matching trousers, which were also detailed with texture and flowing loose sleeves. For the fashionista who wants to make a statement, a similar look just may be en vogue.
Balenciaga
The summery sundress received a winter-ready upgrade at Balenciaga, in the form of a tiny strappy number paired with black opaque tights. Instead of the usual slip-on sandals that would accompany such a piece in the warmer months, this wintry ensemble featured a pair of pointed toe, colourful printed flats. We are also liking the colour palette of navy blue, white and brilliant violet and yellow.
Giambattista Valli
At Giambattista Valli, dainty red and white was the order of the day. A ruffled high collar, delicate sheer fabric and frilly hemline helped to pull the entire frock together. Meanwhile, a cinched-in waistline helped to emphasize the overall design, and create a chic and feminine look.
