The New Way To Wear Black Leather This Fall
Although most of us have owned a black leather jacket at some point in the past, the approaching cooler days of Fall 2018 mean that it’s officially time to rock your leather once again. This time around, this classic autumn staple has been updated with a rock and roll edge. We’ve curated a few easy ways to rock this rebellious, bad girl look right now, as spotted on the autumn catwalks.
Saint Laurent
At Saint Laurent, this bulky black leather jacket made a splash, with its oversized sleeves. We are loving the sharp, statement collar, along with the bold buttons which lend a finishing touch. Meanwhile, the addition of a fedora, cropped skinny trousers and chunky black platform ankle boots wrap up this overall ensemble.
Givenchy
Givenchy decided to go the funky and contemporary route, in the form of a short-sleeved, boyish topper layered over a pantsuit. If traditional leather isn’t quite for you, you may want to take your cues from the designer. The black and white print of the menswear inspired suit flatters the black leather, and creates a cool contrast.
Akris
Whether you are looking for a black leather look for evening or a formal function, Akris proves that leather can be sophisticated, and not just grunge. We are liking this knee-length coat, which pairs effortlessly with these tall black boots, and brings a cool girl feeling to timeless leather outerwear.
