Not quite a fan of the wilderness? Mixing luxury and the outdoors is the perfect combo for all you glamping lovers. It is much easier to escape into the wild with posh tents and treehouses, not to mention a king-size bed and beautiful fireplaces. Being able to enjoy the outdoors in comfort is a plus for many individuals. Whether you need 24/7 Wi-Fi, quality meals, or just a layer of comfort between you and the mosquitoes at night, here are four glamping options in Canada.
1) Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, Tofino, British Columbia: With rates starting at $5,000 a night, this beautiful camp site is filled with gorgeous scenery, first-class dining, relaxing spa services and Wi-Fi of course. The luxurious tents are elegantly equipped with king size beds, heated flooring and large indoor/outdoor showers, and micro-fleece bathrobes. There are a wide variety of activities throughout the resort which include kayaking, surfing, hiking trails, horseback riding and wildlife sightings. Clayoquot will surely fulfill your high-end glamping experience.
2) Entre Cimes et Racines, Eastman, Quebec: Located just an hour outside of Montreal, Quebec, Entre Cinemes et Racines offers 12 ecolodges to relax at in the heart of nature. Although the ecolodges are fully equipped with all things necessary for your comfort, you must bring your own food and bedding. Services which are offered with the Ecolodges include a fully furnished dining area, fire pit and picnic area, a stove for heat and cooking, and sanitary facilities. On-site activities consist of hiking, mountain biking, mushroom hunting, stargazing, and observation of flora and fauna.
3) Wilderness Suites, Long Point Bay, Ontario: At the Wilderness Suites, you will experience the comfort of home in the heart of the wilderness in Norfolk County as they provide luxury glamping accommodations. With private toilets and outdoor showers, you will feel clean as can be in the outdoors. There are plenty of activities to take part in on the site including zip lining, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking and boat tours.
