Watch The First Trailer For The Beauty And The Beast Live Action Film
It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since Disney created the masterpiece animated film Beauty and the Beast, and next year on March 17th they’re releasing a live action version of the same film starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. It’s by far one of the most anticipated films of the year, and now they’ve finally released the first full trailer that takes you inside their world.
Disney had previously released a teaser trailer, and several pictures of Beauty and the Beast, but you really didn’t get a full sense of the film. Their latest, nearly two minutes long trailer however takes you inside their enchanted castle and into their world. The first thing you notice is how close to the original it seems to be, from the lines the characters speak to the clothes they wear. Director Bill Condon (The Fifth Estate, Twilight: Breaking Dawn) really seems to have an eye for getting the details right. Not only do you get to see Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in action, but you also catch glimpses of Kevin Kline as her father Maurice, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts and Luke Evans as Gaston.
The film is said to hold surprises for fans of the animated version, in that new music has been written specifically for the movie (including using unused lyrics from the original), and some plot points have been changed like Belle being an inventor like her dad. Still, from watching the trailer is seems to be pretty close to what you would be expecting.
Disney invites you to be their guest on March 17th, when Beauty and the Beast opens.
