Given the cultural and political climate of our country, I can’t imagine what it would be like to be on a PWI right now. It was bad enough when Obama was in office. These days…ain’t no telling.
Thankfully, we don’t have to relive those days ourselves. We can watch the calamity on Netflix’s hit show, “Dear White People.”
In its second season, the show will continue to tackle difficult/annoying conversations with White folks, including cultural appropriation because we could all use some clarification about where the draw the line.
Not to mention there are intracommunity discussions about Black lesbians, conspiracy theories, The Sunken Place and cocoa butter.
There are are the familiar faces from the first season and a couple of new ones like Todrick Hall and Kid Fury from The Read podcast.
The new season will appear on Netflix on May 4.
