Watch The Trailer For Cara Delevingne’s Next Film, Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets
Like every summer there are plenty of blockbuster, popcorn action flicks set to premiere, but one of the most anticipated is director Luc Besson’s latest, Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets. And after yesterday, we finally have a full-length trailer to watch.
One of the reason’s Valerian is so highly anticipated is because it marks the first time Cara Delevingne is the star of a big film. She’s taken the lead before in Paper Towns, and was one of the big name stars in last year’s Suicide Squad, but this time a lot is riding on her shoulders. The film cost a reported $180,000,000 to make, and comes from legendary director Luc Besson who helmed such hits as The Fifth Element, Le Femme Nikita and Lucy, all of which feature strong women in lead roles.
Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets is based on the comic book series of the same name, and follows the story of a team of special operatives in the 28th century who are charged with uncovering a mystery that threatens the peace of their worlds. If they don’t identify the menace in time, the future of the universe is in jeopardy. The film stars Delevingne, Dane Dehaan, Clive Owen, Rihanna, Ethan Hawke, John Goodman and Rutger Hauer, and is set to be released on July 21st. You can watch the trailer below.
