Watch The Trailer For Mark Wahlberg’s Latest Film Patriots Day
The Mark Wahlberg led film Deepwater Horizon just came out last weekend, which means it was about time that a new movie starring him would be ready to release its initial trailer. Over the last few years the talented and diverse actor has starred in at least two movies a year, with most of them being big studios flicks that have big advertising budgets, which means lots of trailers. His latest film is called Patriots Day, and it comes out just in time for awards season.
Patriots Day is directed by Peter Berg, who also just happened to direct Wahlberg in Deepwater Horizon, and before that Lone Survivor. It’s based on the events surrounding the 2013 bombing of the Boston Marathon. Wahlberg plays Tommy Saunders, a police sergeant who in on the scenes after the bombing, and helps investigators hunt down the suspect. Kevin Bacon, John Goodman, JK Simmons, Michelle Monaghan and Melissa Benoist also star in the film.
The film will be released in Boston, New York and Los Angeles on December 21, so that it can contend for the awards season, including the Oscars. It will open wide on January 13th.
