An Argentinian woman was surprised to find a bizarre creature with what appeared to be two-heads lying on the floor in her courtyard (scroll down for video)
Luján Eroles, 46, stumbled upon the unique, snake-like creature and yelled in horror to her friends nearby.
Measuring approximately 4 inches (10cm), it had the color and scaly skin texture of a snake, but is clearly something entirely different:
“I had never seen anything like it, it was just like a snake and its eyes were so strange,” said Luján. “I looked down and I encountered the strange animal, fear struck me knowing that it could have been poisonous.”
Sharing a photo she captured of the creature onto her Facebook page, Luján asked her friends if they could identify it.
One commenter responded, “I think it’s a deformed creature. This planet is sooo old that it gives everything a chance to reconstruct into something else.”
Luján added, “We all thought it was a mutant animal, which is why we filmed it and put it online for people to give us their opinions.”
Theories quickly started circulating on what it could be, ranging from a caterpillar to “the head of a viper”, according to one of Luján’s Facebook friends.
Others believe that it is an Elephant Hawk-Moth Caterpillar which have curved spines and two large fake “eye marks” that confuse predators and make them appear larger than they are.

According to Luján, after much Googling, and after numerous people suggested it, the creature is likely a caterpillar that will soon transition into a butterfly.
“The reason it was in my courtyard was because it was feeding off vines near me house, and it was camouflaged to look like a form of viper to scare off predators,” said Luján.
